  3. Some people are using the rangehoods designed for over stoves and ovens and cooktops...they seem to work well for this purpose

  7. Black beaks occur on chicks with a decent amount of melanin...it fades off over a couple of weeks. nothing to worry about if yours dont have black beaks

  9. if you mean the budgerigar nationals there wont be any for sale birds there. There will be some auction birds but they will fetch very high prices
  10. french moult you would first notice loss of flight feathers and tail, but not total loss of body feathers in most cases....sounds like plucking going on and you need to figure out which parent is doing it....can you post photos for confirmation ?

  12. I am using one of these cages as a breeding cage also with little mod(3mm ply cable tied to sides and roof and cut out for access to external mounted nest box) they work well for this perpose. I also used this cage as bird home for some time and they seemed quite happy with the space provided. Bought mine from a pet shop for abt $50.00 retail Flip-trainer do more research I dont claim to be an expert but common sense must prevail well said gb I use these cages but I totally remove the whole front and put it back upside down...then I have created drop down doors...one for the nestbox and the other I cable tie up ...I also flip the main front door....in doing this I dont need to cut the bars for a nestbox entry

  14. she may be show bred, but to enter her in a budgie show she has to be wearing a closed legring you put on her as a chick and a club ring at that and you have to be a club member as well to enter the show. If you are keen on show budgies best move is to join a club and get your club rings and later on ring your chicks for showing

    Looking terrific !! It pays to put mouse mesh down under your pavers......many a paver has dropped a bit due to mouse tunnels
