  1. Two dom pieds .......eldest one of them being dom pied greywing by the look of the tail feathers and one greywing. Youngest chick just rung so too soon to work out what it is...no feathers yet

  5. Puppies ( most of them ) have names. we have MACE BELLA MIXY FERGUS BUFFY two others to go. One may be called BUDDY if he is chosen tomorrow.

  17. Thank you for your reply Kaz . If you breed a bonded pair, will they produce eggs sooner than a non-bonded pair? Also, what is the average time it takes for the first egg to be laid? There no such thing as a bonded pair in my aviary....as a matter of fact budgies are so "social" there is really no such thing as a bonded pair long term with anyones birds. BUT a pair that choose to get frisky with each other are more likely to go to nest quicker than others. Averages a week to ten days to the first egg from first matings.
  18. She may also be around her moult which combined with the age and coming into breeding condition will make her cranky and nippy.
  19. She is in what is called BREEDING CONDITION. All normal and not an indication of actual "old enough to breed" but all normal.
  20. How are you serving it...I recall you saying once you served it pickled in vinegar ?
  21. I dont go to all this trouble. Both go into the breeding cage at the same time and choose to use the nestbox when they are ready.
