Worming
Moxydectin is virtually the same thing. My vet bottles it up and its sold under the same banner as ivermectin and for the same reasons and use. I have used it many times myself. More than one drop of ivermectin does not kill a bird as I have done sometimes up to 3-4 drops using the wrong equipment. Might kill a 15-20 gram pet size budgie of the dosage is for a 30 gram budgie but I doubt that too as its also been used on the preening gland of baby budgies in nestboxes will no deaths. I would suggest any birds that died after being dosed by ivermectin may have succumbed to the stress of being caught and held more than due to the meds

I know one of the authors Betty Rae. She has submitted articles here on Baby Budgie Milestones and Weights and Measures. I also have the book, not for myself but as a book to lend others. Good info in there and the info gleaned from a whole lot of other breeders as well ( not necessarily with creditation ). Its on ebay for $15 plus post which considering it was marketed at over $70 when it first came out us way better. I wouldnt pay $75 for it

You forgot sweetcorn......budgies favourite PS celery is as bad as lettuce..........all water little nutrition- 2 + 1 =3
If your UV lamp puts out warmth it will be fine Please keep him seperated from the others for at least 4 weeks. During this time you can work on taming him. BUT essential you watch him close and feel his crop and keelbone and check his butt.- Does Anyone Give Their Birds Carrot Tops.
I cut it lengthwise so there is a flat side and it sits on the concrete floor while they devour it- Does Anyone Give Their Birds Carrot Tops.
it should be fine. I would give it to mine if I had it. I used to grate the carrot for my birds until I started splitting a carrot in half lengthwise and putting them in the aviary just like that. They eat 6 fullsized half carrots in each aviary between teatime and before breakfast the next day- 2 + 1 =3
QUARANTINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! QUARANTINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SEPERATE CAGE SEPERATE ROOM He is a baby...................too young to have been sold. MAKE SURE by feeling his crop that he has a full crop and isnt just pretending to eat. He has that "hunched look" of a young baby who may not be eating well enough. Check his bottom and poos. Put a warm lamp by his cage.........dont turn it off during the night- 2 + 1 =3
Should be against the law to sell under 6 weeks.- Oh My God !
BBC has rubbed off on you Naming budgies What next ??- 2 + 1 =3
Very young.....be very sure its really eating and not pretending to. Check for crop being full and a keelbone check and bottom check over next few days. Not grey.......has purple cheek patches so I would say mauve. and BOY.......... Banjo or Monte- Working Holiday In South Australia
Basically the whole idea is to really foster and care for the newbies coming through. Its easy enough to see the fly-by-nighters who wont stick around and easy enough to see passion for the budgies in others. Too many people and clubs can be like a closed shop in regard to sharing knowledge and helping out. Too many dont want to answer questions because they assume everyone already knows the answers or they have said things enough times in their minds. BUT with so many clubs struggling to get new members and then keep them we have to try a little harder.........for the future- Wood & Drew Auction
Others thought so too and because of it bid for other birds instead. Heard that from a horses mouth or two- Working Holiday In South Australia
Thats the way I feel about it too. So good to hear you have it in place CW Wish more felt the same way- Worming
I believe the rules for worming are every 3 months most of the year but every month in summer.- Quick Question
