  1. she has discovered the swing I put in the cage
  2. Sounds too small for what you plan on doing with it. Photos are needed. The thing is.........you come on and ask for breeding help. For us to help you we need photos.......of your setup to see whats not right about that or what is right about it. We need photos of the budgies you are trying to breed. In those we look at breeding condition or not and age and moulting etc. Photos are important and you dont give out a lot of info all at once that helps us to advise you. So please go find the camera and take photos of the aviary and nestboxes setup, the budgies and their ceres.
  3. when you say around.............do you mean diameter or wrapping a tape measure all the way around.
  4. Its another blue greywing....................
  5. I have a big flock but still baulk at oils in seed. Happenings like this with Splat and Dazs experience remind me why I dont use it.
  6. she hasnt posted a picture of her cage yet Splat
  7. You cant wait till they breed to then move them. You cannot move nestboxes or budgies with eggs or chicks once they have begun to breed. These are choices you must make now and before you put nestboxes in. Cold weather may be why no breeding but also maybe they arent in condition and may be moulting ?

Well done  I look forward to the photo shoot you will be doing soon of both of them
  9. Sounds more like a cage than an aviary. More height than width....too small for 4 pairs ( 8 ) birds and breeding. Photos please. Lets see your setup. Plus are any moulting ?
  10. Call her FANG !!!!
  11. How big is the aviary ?
  12. His mask is shorter than the greys
  13. Omelette plucks the down off her chicks....she always does, so I fostered them out this time. She had a little break and has now been introduced to a skyblue normal young man who won best blue in show.
  14. You need to tell us more. Need more info
  15. Thats good news, all the best with her she's a beauty She or he is cute. Cere keeps changing colour and looks confusing. But either way is feeding well siblings and foster chick
  16. Omelettes four chicks were fostered into two other nestboxes. A cinnamon grey, a cinnamon grey green, an opaline cinnamon grey green spangle and an opaline grey cinnamon grey green. two on the right
  17. You will only know by observation and feeling her crop as well. Watch the parents....in particular the father who would be feeding her if she is still being fed.
  18. Now is a good time for protein.....mashed boiled eggs, and MOULTING AID available from all good bird stores. Normal vitamins can be more hit and miss Sometimes a moult can hit them so hard they dont eat real well. Keep an eye on poops for signs of not coping and always be prepared to add a warm lamp to make them feel better if they are having a real hard moult
  19. sky violet and often also yellowface skyviolet
  20. My new flights are cement. I scrape it, sweep and then vacuum...twice a week if I can, less so if I am busy with work like now when first laid. If you get a slab done that has smooth finish its easier to scrape Low maintenance and forever
  21. I dont use any oils on my seed. They get theirs ala naturale
