Are They In Breeding Condition
I say again......................... The females cere is at the stage where the brownish wrinkly part is about to peel off and reveal the whitish blue that indicates going out of condition. I suggest removing the nestbox and waiting.

Help With Age Of Jordy
Scalyface require either spot on ivermectin ( one spot on back of neck under the feathers ) or oil applied to the beak. No biggie really  We need other photos of the bird..........side and back photos. Close up eye photos. Is the request for age because of possible breeding ?

Are They In Breeding Condition
The male is in breeding condition. The female may be just going out of breeding condition as her cere looks at the stage where its about to peel off and reveal the whitish blue underneath. How come the nestbox is there if you werent sure about the breeding condition ? How old are they ?

Help With Age Of Jordy
How are you expecting anyone to AGE this bird ? If its a recessive pied hen we can never see any iris rings to assist in aging the bird. If its not recessive pied then we need to see clear eye photos. A coloured cere comes and goes as breeding condition comes and goes so can be any age. How long have they had the bird and did they buy it as a baby ?

Will A Tame Budgie Breed ?
We seems to be having the same trouble you are with a pair of princess parrots. As the male is tame he doesnt seem to want to proceed with mating. Maybe he is too human bonded. Time will tell.

My New Breeding Season
Yoko's sixth egg ( fertile one ) went missing overnight. I guess someone ate it but there was no evidence of that. So she has four chicks in the nestbox and the youngest has been fostered to another nest. This nest has Yoko's foster in it other babies belong to this pair Two more chicks out of a nest #1 #2

Euthanasia.....a "forbidden" Topic
A Dad attacked a chick in a nest during last night or earlier today and the chick was near lifeless from shock when I found it. Had to be put to sleep. Prior to this the chick was a well fed plump active chick that looked very promising. I removed the father from the breeding cage. The mother will have three chicks to raise alone. The chick ( taken while still alive ) Same chick two days ago The Dad

Beanie's Wing
Leave the feather....nothing you can do. If you pull it you may make it worse than it is. Check our topic on Feather cysts in the health forum here.......so you can be prepared if there is one.

First Hatchling
Move the babies into a kindie cage NOW.....................before the hen attacks them for trying to get back into her nestbox where she is keen to have a second round of eggs.

Beanie's Wing
The feather follicle has been damaged due to previous feather accident. It will continue to produce weird munted feathers out of that follicle and theres nothing you can do about that. However watch out for feather cysts forming from that feather follicle too as its also a possibility.

Euthanasia.....a "forbidden" Topic
Well, it a warm sunny day today and I put Thundra out in the aviary. I am sure she is ready for it. I gathered up at least 20 cull birds to sell and I also discovered a dark green cock in the adults aviary with a tumour....... true to this euthanasia topic I made the decision and euthanased the cock with the tumour. I was able to pull away the bulk of the tumerous growth but the rest had a blood supply to it and he seemed to be in pain so he was sent to God. If I had been able it tie off the tumour with a ligature to make his life easier I would have, but I figured it would regrow. Upon discovery Bulk of it removed Balance of tumour with blood supply
