The 1st is due Sept 20th... so 7 days... I dont think shes going t chuck eggs... she still keeps them SUPER WARM and is good on them all the time... She wants babies so bad i think shell stay on them for ever So you do think i should trasnfer 2 or 3 of the oldest eggs once they are very close to hatching? Kirby

Thanks guys! The 4th is fertile Yay im soo excited!!! Im now wondering what i should do. Ariel (other hen) has 5 eggs, all infertile, and have been laid for about 30 days. Shes VERY messy (plumage messed up everywhere, and her hubby Chico is started moutling) both both Chico and Ariel are good to the eggs still (Still sitting on them, Chico feeding Ariel well) so i dont know if since Belles a 1st time mum, to have 6 if not more babies will strees her, if i should put some eggs under Ariel.... I was thinking put the 3 oldest eggs under Ariel so they hatch soonest, then since theres 3 then they will have company in the nest... then Belle will stll have ta least 3 babies, but more if she keeps laying. Yes Nerwen.. she is still interested... Sitting all day, her eggs are always VERY WARM... im just worried becuase Chico (Ariels hubby) started moulting... so did Ariel somewhat...or maybe shes just getting bored and all ruffled from sitting on eggs for a month :ausb: I might try giving Ariel the oldest egg...the day before it hatches... so then she wont have to wait for the youngest egg to hatch if i gave her one of the youngest eggs.... Since i still have Ariel setup (her eggs are about 30-35 days old now) and i know theyve been infertile this whole time, i wanted to use her as a foster mom as the eggs are still relativly close together. So, do you think i should give Ariel some of Belles eggs to give Belle less of a 'WA BAMB" feeling to have 5+ babies in her 1st brood... then this way Ariel have get the feeling what its like to be a mom as she wants to me so much :ausb: ? Whipeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5th egg is here!!!!!!!!! :rip: Well... her poops get bigger a few days before. I started noticing a bigger difference about a week before the 1st egg... then a few days before youll notice her tail bobbing or twitching a bit, then in about 3 days BAMB AN EGG!!!! HEHEHE!!! Yay! My crazyness is catching onto you guys!!! I candled 1st egg again, was almost ALL red with viens and a little blob inside (baby growing), egg 2 was orange full of viens, and the little baby was also visible (pink dot size or pencil eraser)... Egg 3 s still not good enough to see clesrly yet, so i will do it tonight then as it will be day 4 i think... or i may just wait till day 5 to stop touching the egg(s)... Ive already put out ads on websites for babies...i know they have not even hatched yet, but i want to allow the future owners to be able to come over throughout the experience (at aged about 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, 5 weeks, then 6 weeks when they can take them home) to bond with their baby before they take him home... Yay thanks Buzz, me to! This is sooo fun! Im picking names as we speak, and so far i like Lucky, Maggie, Sophie, Skye, Mackie, Jellybean, Skittles, Snickers, Mars, Rolo, and Reese... As most are cute names, or names after candy that are here in Canada... Nerwen yes im very happy and excited to!!! I think ill get yf blues though, as its dominant gene... but still some wf's . . . Yup, all of Ariels eggs are infertile again, but im keeping her on them in case Belle being a new mom may abandone her eggs or babies then Ariel can have them. Ariels eggs are about 22 (?) days old now... and shes kinda losing interest i think... out of box a lot, but still sleeps in it, i just hope she hangs on a bit longer... Kirby

Yes ive gotten coments on that (what ill be like when wife is expecting...) (Laughing out loud) Im so excited! You have no idea! 1st baby for 6 years born in my house, and also my income... I sell babies then use money to buy food and other stuff... so i rely on breeding for my income to buy pet stuff i need for all pets. Im also selling the babies for $30 this time, and i know it will be fine... but then i will do two birds for $50 i think... as id prefer two to go to a home then 1... Either way im going to get a lot of money as i use to sell for $20 each. $30 sounds like a lot for you, as most are Aussies.. but here in Canada they are $23.99 each at stores, if not more, so mine are VERY time, colourful, and much better healthy than stores...
