  1. She sure did...she's with a mom and her son in her forever home now, which is wonderful (although I must admit, I'd of loved to have kept her). That is wonderful Erin, the foster parents are the hardest parents to be I believe you get so attached but then in the back of your mind you have to say they were never really yours to keep.
  2. fingers crossed, very nice!
  3. There is an excellent post on Colony Breeding vs Closed Breeding you may want to read it over as there are many that do Colony Breed there are many that have chose to swietch to Closed Breeding because there are less issues in terms of fighting and such. That FAQ article is in the Breeding Section of our FAQ's and the link is above. If you could provide pictures of your nest boxes, your aviary, set up and birds that would be very helpful and the experience breeders on the forum could really help you out, the more information you give in that aspect the better.
  4. Beautiful picture, you should enter the June Budgie of the Month Competition , the forum is very quiet during my U.S. day and very lively when I sleep LOL because I am in the minorty also but that is okay because I get to wake up to some very interesting posts and pictures.
  5. what a sweetheart, did she finally get adopted?

  19. They are beautiful, I really like the last one you should submit it for June Budgie of the Month , under the Competition Forum.
  20. Awe, they are all in the eye of the beholder, I really loved my pet budgie Pretty and didn't really like the show much until I got Merlin he is the best showy budgie around I think, they are so much more calmer and mellow don't knock them until you have one, there really is no way to avoid them you just don't buy them if you don't want one just like if you want a mutt and not a purebred
  21. what wonderful news, this is such an awesome topic and I love reading the updates, these 2 birds are just really doing awesome with you, it shows you can teach an old bird new trick
  22. OMG how cute is that
  23. If you check out some of the show breeder here and thei pics of their budgies you will see that the show budgies are bigger and buffier then the pet budgies .
  24. Just pop the little grey hen in a flat post for me and I will be waiting for her at my mailbox ....I love her
  25. He would not have done it to himself, it was probably another bird or it could have been a bird outside the aviary as suggested, I would keep a diligent eye on the aviary over the next couple days and observe what is happening.
