Charley's Head Rubbing... Raw...
I don't think mites is very common if they are indoor birds and you are not bringing in new birds. I would say he is having a bad molt right there and it is itching pretty bad, you can buy the Molt Aide (I believe Kaz suggested it for me once) and spray him that will help him out a lot along with offering bathes.

A Lot Of Questions
SW is right it could take less then a year but you do want to ensure you have a bond with them before you add another one. I can tell you I had Pretty for 9 months and I a bond with him but when I did bring Merlin into the picture though he stay tamed, he did stop talking, and giving me the affection as much. Budgies would rather be with their own kind and that is not a bad thing it is a good thing but what a lot of people don't realize is the relatioship does change and they may NOT like it.

My Guinea Pig Kimy
Article about Piggies Per this article yes they can. Guinea pigs can catch colds from people, especially as the cold virus lives on the palms of our hands which we use to stroke our piggies. So colds are always going to happen, even when your piggies don’t seem to have a source of infection you will pass them on.

A Lot Of Questions
- Bad Mum Moment
Glad it worked out all day, my kids would have never let me lived it down :hap:- Budgie Mood ?
In the morning instead of just removing the cover do it gradually, I uncover Merlin from the front and then in an hour I take the whole cover off that helps them adjust to the cover being completely off.- Laying Eggs On The Floor?
If you are serious about breeding them then they need their own cages and nest box, this is best so there are no fights for nest boxes and over the hens etc...that would be my advice. If you don't want babies you can addle the eggs and pitch them. I am sure you will get other advice too.- What A Cutie - Check Out It Out Sept Budgie Of The Month Winner!
WOW what a close vote it was this month!! Aaron pulled in front with his cute picture of his budgies...Congrats Aaron. Give us a little background on your budgies please :hap:- I'm In Love.....
Yes, I know that line but I will do it hehe.... they sound cute- Are You Normal
cute...I thought of beans :hap:- If God Had Trouble Raising Children,
I moved this post to the Joke Section, this is very cute. :hap:- French Moult?
The first molt on a budgie is around 3-4 months, he is probably going through is 2nd molt by this age, loosing a tail feather and other feathers are very common with a molt, if your budgie had french molt it would have been idenfied at a very early age and he would most likely have difficulty flying or could not at all. No question is stupid, thank you for asking. If you like posting a picture of him on this post would be very helpful.- Sentence Story Game
