Petshops
That is what happened to me Kaz and that is how Pretty came along ...but yes I would take up their offer vs a petshop anytime.

Pied, But Which One?
very interesting and your right if the hen is not a cinnamon then the cock must be split.

Cora And Chadwick's Offspring..
they are super cute, love the depth of the yellow face on the older one.

Nail Trimming
I think that is more of a pet thing because when I took Merlin in to the avian vet after Pretty died for a check up he clipped wings and nails but I have never personally clipped them. I would say too long is when they can not properly perch, I am sure I could take a tip off of them but why. If you do it is would be a 2 man job and make sure you have the stuff that stops bleeding immediately because budgies can bleed out fast and nails are the worst to get to stop. I personally would leave them.

Blueberry

Kaz your chicks get cuter and bigger by the day, that one is a great caption contest picture

Long Distance Travel - By Airplane?
Never been down there so you would know better, I figured it would be a constant roar like it is in the cabin but quieter .

Stuck
that is way too big should only be 1/2, look in the post above, I posted a great article about correct cages :fly:.

Un Tame
MB is right, I had the same issue with Pretty. So what I did was covered his cage and if he flew on the cover that was okay but he wasn't climbing all over, at one point I did remove it from the total scene because I wasn't getting anywhere with him. If you go in to the FAQ section there is an article called Taming Your Budgie, you can read that and get some great tips :fly:. Sounds like you are doing everything right just keep working with your budgie, taming takes time and patience but is worth it.

Hen On 6 Eggs
Jodie, I am not sure what you mean, your hen should have a good diet and variety while she is breeding (and not) that includes veggies, the chicks are too young to even pick at them if that is your concern.

Stuck
You need a new cage ASAP the bars should be no more then 1/2 inch wide your your budgie could escape or worse struggle and break it's neck. Here is an article on cages from our FAQ section http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...&artlang=en

Chicks In The Nestbox
well it surely makes sense, that is excellent Kaz

Perking Up Jack
maybe he is just a quiet boy? Even when Pretty didn't eat his veggies and touch his cuttlebone he was still very chatty and he really didn't play with toys, maybe there is more to it?

New Pics
Very cute Andrew, you must take one of those photos and submit for budgie of the month
-
Weirdo!
I agree with MB especailly if the cage is too small, I would give him enough flight time and then give us an update once you have him in the aviary and let us know if his behavior changes.

Perking Up Jack
I agree with Kaz on that point above. If your cock is showing signs of possible sickness it may not be what he totally needs.

Should Come Home To Some New Babies!
Glad to have you back Jenene

Long Distance Travel - By Airplane?
AV is right they do have different compartment for animals (it has changed because so many animals have died or gotten sick), from what I understand it is a controlled enviroment just like the cabin, good thing budgies like noise because it will be noisey down there. .
