Ringing Time.
Hmm i'm thinking that someone either needs to take a video, or get someone to take some snap shots of this whole process. I haven't put rings on my birds but a few that i bought had them already on. I had absolutely no idea how they went on and i was picturing that they sorta got crimped on (loosely) I hadn't realized that while they are small they just slip up and over the toes..

Feed Them Too Manymeal Worms
A fair while ago i had an old bag of birdseed that got left outside and went yucky sorta, it sat for ages and moisture had gotten into the bag.. The top of it had sprouted over time and gone hard but the bottom was wet, smelly etc etc.. as i lifted it to move it i discovered it was FULL of these HUGE grub thingys. they looked like meal worms (i have sometimes bought tins to feed to my lizard) but i have no idea how they actually got in there to begin with but they were obviously feeding on the bird seed as they were HUGEEEE (the lizard liked them) .. some places i've seen selling live ones online recommend keeping them in bran as they eat the bran and its good for them to tunnel through Cheers  Una

My Budgies
i use to have quail at the bottom of the aviary but they were too agressive and quite a few killed each other so i gave them away to a friend with an even bigger aviary

Piper's The Boss
Great pictures. I'm loving the *Poof* and wave photos also Mr Molly is such a sweet heart For some reason i've never really liked teils (sp?) i think i was mostly making this judgement on looks (must have only seen exceptionally ugly birds) (Laughing out loud) but I'm beginning to think I'm missing out on something quite special.. Cheers  Una

They Even Defy Hormone Shots!
The hen i have out in the aviary (the only one thats breeding so far) is on another clutch of eggs, i feel that she pushed the other babies out early (about 4 weeks) so she could have the next batch, the day the last chick left the nest, she had her first egg .. i just hope she takes a little time out after this lot before she has anymore

I looked back and found this link of little Paco and the other budgies with their clear nesting box.. just thought id post the link to show you, just scroll down the page a little bit. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showtopic=7146 I thought it was pretty nifty that you could see into the box, i think thats why i remembered the post. How sweet, I also love the third picture. They look the best of mates..- Just Munch And Apple
:(Laughing out loud): :(Laughing out loud): Heheee.. oh i couldnt let that slip past.. The mother is once again sitting on a clutch of 5 eggs, she layed the first one the day the last baby left the nesting box (atleast she is keen) and with this clutch she has had both of the same males at her again, so i have no idea what ill end up with this time- Hope
