WOW Daz.. Your aviary upgrades are far more technical than mine :(Laughing out loud): I just advertise for any unloved and unused aviarys and just connect them upto the aviary i already have hahaa.. Last week actually i advertised for some more and i ended up with a big wire one that will make a great flight aviary and a huge shed one that i will connect to it Will be my Eclectus parrots home
  9. OH NO.. poor sweet little Mango  Hugs
  10. Personally id remove the box, shes obviously not at all happy with the situation and taking the box away may stop her laying any more eggs.. For her to keep on laying eggs at a rapid rate only to be smashing them will be very taxing on her and not good for her overall health. If she had been sitting on the eggs for a while and then after a few weeks tossed them out, it would have been because they were infertile but for her to be doing it only hours after laying ... Remove the box and consider not having her as a breeder.. if she is so unhappy with her eggs, she may be even more aggressive if there was to be a chick in the box with her.. Cheers  Una
  11. having not seen these pellets before i may be well off the mark but since you are talking about ways to crush them ... Would a small electric coffee grinder do the job? they are cheap to buy and really easy to wipe clean, you can also get the pellets ground down really fine if so required.. was just a thought, i use one to crush up my egg shells to give to the birds
  12. My daughter was just looking at all the photos with me and after the 20 questions on whos birds they were she said... "Why does Karen have all the cute birdies?" I cant help but think she is right :ausb: That photo with the little tongue sticking out was too sweet

  16. Congratulations on your new little ones but please get them to an avian vet ASAP and make sure you are following STRICT quarantine procedures as terri has pointed out.. Hopefully all is okay but its just not worth the risk to the birds you already have.. Oh yeah photos would be great :hap:
  17. YAY edit: In all my excitement i forgot to say, make sure that once hes stared treatment.. don't forget to scrub EVERYTHING in the cage he is in and anything he has had contact with, even if possible remove all wooden perches and replace with new ones.. the little mites like to burrow into the wood also..
  18. poor littel man.. Id consider a vet trip if i were you, just to check things over and as terri said even if it is just to get something for the pain.. Hugs to the both of you
