Posted April 30, 200619 yr Well the budgies are finally all together - a very smooth transition. Thought I'd post a few pics. Beka, Puddin, Wylie, Tazzy, Romeo, Jewel Star, Jewel, Beka, Tweety, Puddin, and Romeo Romeo, Jewel, and Tazzy Beautiful Jewel Puddin', Beka, Romeo, and Tazzy on perch. (Wylie in back and Jewel in foreground). They recessive pied boys are so pretty!!! Wylie - I love the green that is coming in his coat now. I would say he is goldenface for sure! Also, thought these videos were cute. Tried to capture the birds in a feeding frenzy but no such luck. These guys ate ever so gracefully. But did get some flight action in this clip. Gives you an idea of the size of the cage. Jewel has fun playing with the ring toys.
April 30, 200619 yr I didn't see the video yet I will come back, but the pictures are awesome and they look great together
April 30, 200619 yr YAY SHAWNA! Thanks for great pics! LOOK AT PUDDIN' IN THAT !ST VIDEO! She looks like a graceful hummingbird! Her wings are going so fast, that they look like they are going slow! I LOVE IT!!!!!! hahaha.. Awww Jewel! My hen(s) do the same thing with that exact same ring 'ladder' is what i call it, since they climb in it, and try to get higher, and higher, and higher...(Laughing out loud) Kirby
April 30, 200619 yr Oh, they're adorable! I couldn't believe the size of that cage when the video panned out. I'm so envious; I wish my birds had that much space to have a proper fly about in, not just a hoppy flappy about thing. I'm turning greener and greener as I type. *makes note* Remember to steal Shawna's bird cage (including birds) and transport to UK. Note to self - try not to get caught at customs. April 30, 200619 yr WOW! I love the second picture! I just realized it now! Look at Beka, and Tweetys markings! They look like twins~ And Beka almost looks like Budgiebirds' hamdsome Curry! Oh lala! And its to bad that Tazzys a boy, becuase Wylie sure looks turned on to me in the 1st picture! (Laughing out loud) Kirby Edited April 30, 200619 yr by Kirby
May 1, 200619 yr Author And its to bad that Tazzys a boy, becuase Wylie sure looks turned on to me in the 1st picture! (Laughing out loud) Wylie has been getting a little hormonal lately. I'm probably going to have to move him and the other boys. I was shocked to see him crawl on Daffy's back yesterday morning. He's only 4 months old. All the hens still have white ceres - none in breeding condition. Maybe he is just experimenting!
May 1, 200619 yr HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!...you know you have a stud when! (Laughing out loud) You think thats young! My 6 week old male is the baby in the group, so he gets away with everything! So far, hes mounted little Tango whos only 8 weeks old at LEAST 10 times, and is attempting to mount Belle whos 9 months! Its hilarious! So, Shawna, all that means is we got very 'eager' male budgies, who will be great producers! : Kirby
May 2, 200619 yr thanks for the pictures, I love them all , also you have a perfect cage, most beautiful one I have ever seen.
May 2, 200619 yr Author thanks for the pictures, I love them all , also you have a perfect cage, most beautiful one I have ever seen. I love my cage too. I got it from birdcagemart.com. It was very reasonably priced I think - $219. US dollars. I had to pay shipping because I'm in Canada so it ended up costing about $400 Canadian dollars. I've look at cages 1/4 of the size in local petsores and they are about $200 Canadian, so I feel I got a good deal. And it has given me the room to expand my flock from 2 to 10 so that makes me very happy :fear .
