Posted June 16, 200618 yr These are for you Kirby. These were all taken tonight and many of the birds are moulting and look rather scruffy right now. Well here are a few of pretty little Bella. My two recessive pieds- Romeo and Tazzy! Here's Romeo with Jewel. And Romeo on his own. And with Max This one is cool - Romeo flew up and landed in some cut pussywillows - and Tweety was flying up to join him. I soon scurried them off because I wasn't sure if pussywillows were harmful to them. And here are Star and Wylie. They were so similar in colour before Wylie moulted and now look at them. Puddin' peeking in on Star and Beka And miss Daffodil hanging out! And my special Sylvester and Tweety!

June 16, 200618 yr They're really lovely. Mine are both looking scruffy too at the moment, like little porcupines. I seem to remember reading somewhere about preserved flower arrangements being potentially dangerous. I think it was someone who's budgie ate some dried eucalyptus in a flower display and then died. They discovered afterwards that a lot of things preserved like that have have harmful chemicals on them, it may even have been arsenic. I just wish I could remember where I'd seen it so I could show you a link. Probably worth doing some research. If it's fresh ***** willow, then I'm sure I saw that on a safe wood list somewhere. Again, I can't remember where though. Sorry, I'm being pretty unhelpful today. N.B Hahaa, stupid swearing filter. It won't let me say ***** willow. Edited June 16, 200618 yr by Janette

I hope to breed Wylie and Bella some day. If I could get a yf spangle out of them I'd be thrilled. Right now Wylie seems interested in Daffy. But once Bella's introduced to them who knows? Yes, Jewels cere is a little brown which surprises me. I thought she would be too young ~ 3 months. She and Max are the best of buds! Maybe they'll pair off someday. Who knows what she is hiding under that ino?? \ If it's fresh ***** willow, then I'm sure I saw that on a safe wood list somewhere. Again, I can't remember where though. Sorry, I'm being pretty unhelpful today. N.B Hahaa, stupid swearing filter. It won't let me say ***** willow. It is fresh - picked it in my yard and no pesticides around.
