budgerigar world came through my letter box the other day and there were some pics of frosted pieds has anyone seen these birds it says that this was the first time they had been shown in this country just wondering as i havnt heard of these

WOW that is a stunning looking bird. It kinda looks like someone as been washing the colour off him :D

 

:D what is with the very big black dots on the others, very odd looking not what I think a budgie is at all

Yeah I know, just odd looking to me, that's one of the reasons I know I will never become a show breeder :D

 

I really hope I get to see one of these frosted pieds at the Royal Brisbane Show (ekka) this year. Is one of the biggest show for budgies and chooks and heaps of farm animals. I'll take a camare along and if there is one take a few pics. (with permission of cuase)

That is a beautiful bird! I wonder what the standard on a frosted pied is? What makes that particular bird a "frosted" pied?

the article gives no evidence either way recessive or dominant sex-linked
