So I'm trying to get his true color in the photos above he looks cobalt blue but when I took him out and shot by the window light I see some purple will I have to wait until after his fist molt before I know his true color?

Normally babies will change a bit in colour as they molt, it may go through a couple of molts before it is fully coloured.

Hi long time no see life desided to kick me down for a bit but I'm here and still kicking so remember my little budgie sapphire? Well he has now become a dad has to do with my above statement. I'm trying to find out how he and his pretty girl budgie got the colors of there off spring. I will post in the correct sub forum
