If importation from the UK is allowed again....... Do you think it will have a positive effect on the hobby? But I'm pretty sure it's legal to import live pigeons so there's no need to do the eggs thing with them. As for budgies, there is a away to bring 1 in as I understand it. However you'd have to live in England for a year and prove that you kept the bird as a pet. I think imports from England/Europe would improve our current stock... It would take a few years to filter through to everyone but eventually everyone would benefit. Link to comment

There will be be 60 days for people to make comments on the report. The cost bring in birds was $800.00 so it would be about $1000.00 per bird plus what you purchase your Budgerigars. I am more concerned on importing Sperm it will cost a lot less, plus you will be able to obtain sperm from the top Breeders rather than their Culls. Link to comment
