A Little Concerned With Dalek.

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, Dalek has been going great apart from a few small things that I am starting to worry will lead to a bigger problem.

He has started to bite his feet, he hasn't made them bleed yet, but it is really starting to worry me. He is biting the sole and toes, he does it all the time, so I cna't pinpoint a time where he does it more then other times.

The other thing is that he is sneezing a lot, I don't know if this is normal due to them preening all the time or not, I'm worried he has caught a cold or something.

Maybe he has mites. If he is starting to bite his feet, maybe it is because something that is not visible to the naked eye is annoying him.

Perhaps you need to give him a spot of ivermectin? Mites is a nasal passage/on the cere mmight also explain the sneezing.

If it is not mites, and the ivermecting has not changed anything, then Darcy will be no different and you can rule mites out.

1 drop on the back of the head I say.

He is going great. Seems much happier, mum is pretty sure he was sneezing and scratching because the dow feathers are coming out, he's leaving little white puff feathers everywhere. LOL And he is slowly going in to his first moult. But we sprayed him just to make sure and we are keeping a look out for any lumps on his feet to make sure nothing worse is wrong. If we find any lumps he's going straight to the vet.
