getting mum to agree

i have permission from mum and i am going to breed a green/yellow dominant pied with either albino or white/blue recessive pied.

 

how do you sex an albino because i am unsure wether i have a male or not

i think that the females cere goes brown but if its male the cere just stays pink

I hate being a downer but if you had trouble getting the money for the nest box, how will you pay for the vet if the budgies need it? (Or just basic supplies for that matter.)

 

Just to be fair maybe you should sit down with her and let her know that you WILL take care of your birds but that you may also run into situation in the future that require some help and support from her. If it were as simple as throwing in a nest box and having cute little babies I'd be doing it too but there are also a lot of moral responsibilities that you should consider.

 

Oh, and with lutinos the male will have a pink cere and the females will still have the brownish/whiteish/tannish cere. (http://devvle.com/budgiegender.html)

my mom said she will pay for vet bills, she just makes me buy everything for the budgies (food, cages etc) myself. A way of showing me responsability i guess!
