  1. Buster used to sleep on top of his swing too. It sounds normal to me, I think they like to change up their sleeping position.
  2. I haven't seen any color to his flights. What is a dominant banded pied?
  3. I got a new budgie on Wednesday, this is Cosmo. He's not quite tame yet but he's getting good with step ups, which is awesome because he was totally untame when I got him. He's just starting his first molt and I believe he's a mauve clearflight pied, am I correct? http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a227/Mis...ie/Cosmo006.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a227/Mis...ie/Cosmo002.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a227/Mis...ie/Cosmo001.jpg
  4. One of my friends from another bird forum isn't sure if her budgie is a girl or boy, here's a picture: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a227/Mis...19/finnynow.jpg

    Bath Time

(Laughing out loud) Buster's a pretty tolorant little guy. He usually bathes himself but the night before he ran through my food in an attempt to steal some and was kinda smelly. Plus he's been dying his head pink with his mineral block.
  6. Here's a video of Buster enjoying his bath yesterday, he was just sitting there, he wasn't being held down. http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a227/Mis...nt=HPIM0300.flv
  7. Thanks guys they're really funny to watch. When I first got Amira she just HATED him but she's realized that he'll preen her neck and she seems to kind of enjoy his company
  8. Videos of my weirdos Buster is back to loving Amira. Lately she's been posturing for him to preen her neck, it's cute http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a227/Mis...mgAnch=imgAnch3 http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a227/Mis...mgAnch=imgAnch2 I couldn't leave another Buster bath time out either http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a227/Mis...mgAnch=imgAnch1
  9. http://www.netherworld.com/~cowboy/WatmoughChapter3.htm There are some books on the subject, maybe you should pick one up.
  10. I tried growing seed in a little dish with some dirt once and it worked, Buster was pretty interested in eating the sprouts.
  11. I was talking about wild parrots, but yeah that's a good question. This is from Parrots for Dummies ((Laughing out loud)) http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/DummiesArticle/id-3112.html
  12. One theory that I heard was that they're imitating a larger animal which if you think about it would discourage other predators from going their way.
  13. I saw them earlier they're really cute!
  14. Awesome! I'm glad you caught one!!
  15. Wow! That's pretty cool, I like my pictures better though
