Oh Bobby yet again ate cress from my hand he was in his cage this time so twice in a row!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you looking at whole bunches or half? At the supermarket i go to the half bunches don't have many leaves but the whole ones have all their delicious budgie food intact. Seems stupid to get rid of the leaves. And like Julie didn't suggest....there are usually tender new leaves growing up the middle. Edited May 11, 2005 by Bea Link to comment

Oh and will they eat teh stalks because I hate celery! i use to work in a fruit and veg shop.... and sometimes had people asking if there was any fresh scraps and things they could have for birds and all sorts of animals.... i am sure if u go to the local veg store they will let u go out and get some stuff.... i mean it isnt like it is garbage just not people consumable... it is just off cuts and pruducts to small and not eye appealing... and it cost nothing !!! A lot of people will take the tops off and just put them back - I stuff the extra tops in the bag with my carrots. Otherwise they will just get thrown away, and my birds love the tops.
