Yep thats right and while he was on top of his cage - he normally runs a mile but him and Candy were out and I thought I might try them with some cress. Candy came first as always and munched away while Bob sat in the background and then all of a sudden he came toddling over and sat and gobbled up the lot.

I am really pleased and this could be my first step towards slightly taming him.

Yay Yay!!

It is a lovely thing isn't it? Birdy is like that with me and it's such a thrill when they seem to 'forget' they're supposed to be afraid of you!

Oh its is Julie I am really pleased with him he has been so hard to try and handle ever since I got him he seems to be getting better now he is housed with Candy because he is fairly tame - well when he wants to be of course hehe!

Oh also Georgy my nearly 5 month old has just now started his first moult he is my bird that was underweight and bullied - I wonder if thats why he has started so late - anyway good news is that you can no longer see his keel bone protruding because he is getting a little fatty hehe!

I agree and I think because he also doesnt need to be caught to be put away anymore (he goes to bed all by himself) probably helps and maybe he is starting to think my hands are for good things now and not bedtime hehe!

Yeah they certainly are that - they were naughty little kids last night they were sat on top of the cage and kept pulling at pulling there swing off from the top so it fell to the floor and of course I picked it up and yep they did it again and again - was funny to watch though.

Blinkie loves throwing things on the floor so i have to pick them up! :) But he made up for it today by being so keen to eat his celery leaves. He was at the door waiting before i even got to his cage! Good boy, eating his greens! :)

Boomery, that is such an accomplishment! It is amazing the feeling that one little act of trust on a budgies part can make you get, isn't it?

Thanks Rainbow its a real achievement Bobby is such a flighty bird and for him to be within inches of me without flying is such a joy - I will keep you posted on his progress.

Nope nothing new is happening and thats the way it will stay until I get his wings clipped, which I can't do until my dad drives me to the vet but he is "too busy" right now. :)

Well that a relief! I doubt dad would be into buying fresh food just for the birds though. At least i use celery. I just buy a bunch and then cut off all the leaves for the budgies. :D

I want to try celery but the stuff in our supermarkets hardly have any leaves on just the stalks wonder if anyone knows where else I could get the leafy bits.

Oh Bobby yet again ate cress from my hand he was in his cage this time so twice in a row!!

Actually if you take a sneaky peek(I would never suggest you do this of course) you can see new leaves growing from the middle of the bunch sometimes unless you're looking at the prepared packets that have had the tops chopped off already.
