So I decided to read and I found this bit funny

 

"Whilst dogs and cats are the most popular pets, birds and fish are also kept in large numbers."

 

They then have the little facts box with

 

Dog - 4 million

Cats - 2.6 million

Birds - 8.4 millions

 

8.4 Million birds kept as pets! Know I know that most people have multilpe birds but alot of people have two dogs or cats. In fact I believe that someone said about 90% of owners have two or more. So really what they are saying is that 2 million people in australia have a dog, 1.3 million have a cat and I will be nice and say there would be around 3 million that have one bird or more.... I still think we out weigh the others in ownership!

 

People just don't see as pet owner! Oh we need a walk for wings day! :D
