Its so close to being done now, its not funny  Tony was good with filling holes between colourbond and concrete pad and was very good on the drill. Renee is a great organiser and Renee and I mostly did the perching. Renee cleaned the wire down with vinegar....smelt like a fish and chip shop in there :fingerscrossed: We all installed the front window. Yet to do..... 1. Clad front of aviary with colourbond, add any trim needed. 2. finish of tightening up and joining some of the wire on the popout section. 3, add a couple more screws here and there 4. I have to finish the window section from birdroom to aviary. 5. Ken has to check doors from birdroom and flights open easily and lock. 6. Wire mesh the front window Then all done. :hap: I put a small flight cage in one of the flights for the youngsters in it to get some fresh air until release. Some photos.... Why do you say about 24 breeding cages ? I run nearly forty mate okay sorry i seen this The back wall will be my main melamine cages...the ones I have made in sets of three with dividers.....two sets along the back wall ( that's 6 wide by 4 high =24 cages ). The cages from the front wall into the centre of the room will be my wire cages in melamine units.....those I made are on wheels so I can move as necessary for different configuration or move to clean. Those units are vertical and three cages high. Link to comment

That was the old planning stages of the birdroom which is now done..........ages ago....I was only talking about the back wall of cages ( 24 ) PLUS the other cages in the room as well as those. I actually have forty breeding cages. Link to comment

I'm sure not as you wouldn't have used them if they did... As the windows are on the side and they will fly the length of the flight...they shouldnt. Also its why I put the perches in front of each of the smaller windows.....if they are tempted to fly at the windows they will land on a perch instead. Link to comment

I am having to take legring details and photographs as I go to update my records especially as I had a programme crash earlier in the year. Mostly releasing some of Omelettes first clutches for 2009 and then others. So far only one has found the high perches the others are enjoying the perches at the windows and also are perching atop some of the kindie cages in there as well. None hitting the windows, a couple thought they could fly through the corrugated iron sheeting Link to comment
