I brough this 'hand tamed' budgie home 2 weeks ago, and he is always doing this. I havent seen this behaviour before. As a side note, I question the breeders ethics, i doubt he was hand raised and also did not appreciate her bird keeping conditions. Please understand living very rurally options of shopping elsewhere are very limited. Thanks! 20220106_110252.mp4 Link to comment https://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?/topic/36191-bizzare-baby-budgie/

It can be concerning when a newly adopted pet acts unexpectedly. Your questions about the breeder's ethics are valid, and it's unfortunate that rural living limits your choices. If you’re unsure about his behavior, consider reaching out to an avian vet or a local bird club for guidance. Best wishes, Roobotech! Just as Apple Airpod needs time to adjust to new devices, birds often need time to adapt to a new environment. Given your rural location and the circumstances, patience and gentle interaction can help your budgie gradually feel more at ease in your home. Best of luck!
