I have two budgies who bonded and then began mating and since I am now working at home due to Covid-19 I have had extra time to spend with them and support them in breeding! My female laid 7 eggs, two which were tossed out of the nest, but she is now consistently sitting on the remaining 5. However, it has been about 28 days that she has been on them and none have hatched. From some research this seems like the longer end of incubation and I'm concerned they may not be fertilized. Is there a certain amount of time I should wait before removing the nesting box and allowing them to try again another time? Is it okay for me to take an egg out of the nest to examine it? I appreciate any guidance you can offer. Peace, Cat Link to comment
