Very sweet. Do you bother keeping records with so many( upto 30+) colony breeding.? Did the yellow face in the 3rd photo have red eyes? If so what to believe it's mutation to be? Link to comment

Did you mean this budgie? if so, he is a normal grey wing. I keep records of my birds, I know multiple males may belong to a nest but I can pretty much tell which babies are from which pairs and I know a bit about each of my pairs history. Link to comment

They've only had 2 babies, which are still in the box, one is a violet dom pied spangle and the second is a violet spangle. Or this pair: I only bought these birds this year from different breeders. opaline sky blue spangle (possibly cinnamon) female and a yellow face violet male. They've produced 11 babies, opaline spangles, yellow face opaline spangles(first picture), yellow face violet opaline spangles and opalines. Link to comment

I still have the cock bird, Aslan, but the hen, Narnia, died on Halloween last year. Narnia was a gorgeous dilute violet cinnamon opaline. Edited January 14, 2015 by Laura's Birds Link to comment
