I have bred Japanese Quails for 2 years and I have 8 adults at the moment. Not this year though. I give all my quail chicken layer pellets and weeds from the garden. Dandilion is a must for goods eggs and good health! I do give them bird seed on the odd occasion which they love but I always supply them with fresh dirt to dig in and eat and bath in also - the dirt helps the seed digest properly. Make sure the weeds out of the garden don't have any spray on them - Oh, and they love chickweed! Link to comment
