I have seen bigger parrot breeds hold things with their legs and then eat them or play with them. Why don't budgies use they legs to hold things.

I'm not quite sure why that is. Most budgies do not eat with their feet.

I think it's either something to do with anatomy, or it's just easier to do it for larger birds.... am interested in the topic though :)

Hello If you examine the internal Skeleton & muscular organs of the Budgie & the Parrot

You will note that that the parrot has the greater ability to reach his beak with his foot.

plus having the more dexterous foot muscles. The budgie reaches up to his beak area

with more of a side lift, useful only for scratching & preening.....B.J.
