They are currently in a different cage and room to Sparta for quarantine and they see to be settling fast. All I know, is that the males mutation is spotted something or rather and the females name is Isabella 0.o What do you guys think? I'm gonna get some pics up when they settle in and hopefuly soon, because ZF's have been known to settle in quickly and sometimes, as soon as they settle, they start breeding Link to comment

Nice looking mutation. Not sure on your other one tho Hehe no as in the female zebra's name is Issa I received an email late yesterday with really nice information: Instead of being bothered to take out parts of the email, I'll just copy and paste the whole thing :3 "Your cage is looking perfect also how u put the nestbox is good.female is fancy Isabel and male is normal zebra.u can put some leafy brances on top or inside the cage to make em feel theyre in a nice environment.they're 8 mos old.i call em Issa and Zebby.give em some lettuce leaves and fruit aside from the finch mix they'll love u for that.u should also have some grit and cuttle bone.give em a dish to bath in..thanks for giving em a nice home.im sure they'll give u pretty babies.if u want to breed budgies later on I've got a few.love all my birds :-) Cheers, Faith" Here's some pics of them as well Enjoy Zebby and Issa's tail Please note that this cage is only temporary, as I'm going to build a large cage for them Edited April 21, 2012 by Flip-trainer Link to comment

What I've noticed is that when i used to use those wicker nests ( the nest that u have in there ) u get less chicks successfully growing and fledging. I switched to nest boxes. ( I own and breed 35 zebra finches) Edited April 22, 2012 by BUDGERIGAR BOY Link to comment

They're great I'm feeding them a breeding diet so that I won't have to be surprised, it has these ingredients: Hardboiled egg (with shell), raw pistachio kernels, Pasta, bean sprouts, lettuce, and a tablespoon of seed and a tablespoon of pellets... This is enough for Sparta and the finches and a bit extra they love it, also, my friends have some beautiful finches, one is a female with male markings (I was confused too, but they had it sex checked it sure enough, it was a female) They said that I can take as many as I like (for free) So when Issa and Zebby's first clutch are in breeding condition, I'll pair them up with one of my friends' Thanks for asking Link to comment
