okay This might be the wrong section but it is a show.

I have been thinking for a while now that this Forum is getting boring, so I thought I would try and put a bit

of a spark back into it.

 

I hope you moderators don't mind.

 

there will be 2 shows running at once on different post to suit us all hopefully.

the shows will be colour and variety series for exhibition type birds and they will run weekly for the year.

And cutest colour and variety series for pet types.

 

There will be a judge judging the birds each week and that judge can not enter their birds if they are judging .

There will be points for the winners right down to the last bird, so if there are 20 birds in the class the winner wins 20 points and the second bird gets 19 points and the bird that comes 20th gets 1 point.

There will be a score ladder after each show and at the end of show season the winner will have on there page a certificate saying the won for the year.

 

Now for the exhibition show, you will be judged the same as if you were at a show, so eye for detail is everything , birds will be judged on their spots, condition, length, shoulder, directional feather etc.

Photos can be from the perch up in a show cage or photo cage. (no photos of birds sitting on the floor.

Front on photos will be better so we can see if they have shoulder and width of face etc. But you can have them side way if you wish. We just assume they have a tail etc, anyway it is all just a bit of fun.

In the next photo the bird is not spotted so I would loose points on that but if it was not long before a show I would take the chance and not spot him because after all this online show is for fun.

 

I will be calling for help with judging by experience breeders also so if anyone wants to judge please show your interest on this thread . You don't need to be a real judge but you do need some experience show budgerigars. And help with pet types would be great to, no experience need just an eye for a pretty bird.

 

Judges will need to do a written comment on the winners, which helps us all learn.

 

okay when you submit your entry please write Entry No 1 and the next person write entry no 2 and so. That goes for both shows.

I hope I have explained everything right and you all understand.

 

I will start up the 2 shows on different post shortly, these 2 shows will run from Tomorrow Friday 2nd Dec until Sat 10th because it is the first show.

So please all get your entries in.

Please make photos of good size, no tiny little pictures please.

So you all better get ya cameras out and start practicing.

hee hee sounds good and at least i get my bird in this one sent one in to win a dvd they didnt even put my bird in not like i would have won against the english breeders though but as you said was bit of fun

ill be in if ya need help ill judge pets if you want but im not going near the show birds lol

Yes GB 1 entry per person and with the unbroken cap one it is any variety, colour and sex.

 

Yes I entered that DVD one but silly me entered the sky and he wouldn't have a chance against their adults. but they did put him up though. Haven't being judged yet. I entered in Novice because I think that is what Intermediate is here.

They have Champion... Intermediate... Novice... Beginner and junior
