There are set dates when rings are available so maybe you can get some Club rings in the meantime. Or else you can just ring or email the Club Secretary and let them advise you. Link to comment

No you can't show unless you are member of a club in your state plus a member of Your state like Budgerigar society of Queensland. You can join that club that is 3 hours away just to get your rings and just be a member, but if you want to show sounds like the shows will be a distance from you also. Link to comment

Sometimes you can tee up to share travel. Link to comment

Most clubs send out newsletters so you know what is going on and maybe your parents will take you to a show when you start breeding good birds, but we have some members in our club are members and they just do their own thing, come to meeting when able and breed to suit themselves and will show one day. But at least when you are a member you will get some kind of magazine a few times a year from the Queensland Budgerigar Society or at least we do here and that helps you find out what is going on in your state. And if you are a junior there are junior fees so it is cheaper. But the rings still all cost the same though. Link to comment
