Nah not mine TAZ . I picked up a handy spangle at ATB Mornington a week ago...1 of DB's...

Worth dropping in every now and again for a look...Were they Tassie rung birds ? They quite often get S.A. birds in too...

Called into the F1 stud a few weeks ago.. There was not a lot on offer...

Yeah Mel is always chasing Lacewings. The DB bird is a blue ringer, Cinn Opal spangle grey.

Have only just started back in birds myself so nothing to sell at this stage. I breed reccessives but only have

A few breeding pair purchased from HH2 and a couple of babies that I have bred this year.

Will keep my eyes and ears open though.

It is real bad around Numurkah, nearly in every paddock, even in the vacant lot next to my mums. It is a curse.

Pretty from a distant but not for any farmer, they hate it the most. It is poison to horses if they eat a lot of it, well that is what we were told when my son had a horse, we use to run around the paddock and pull out any we could fine. Probably not true but at least the owner of the paddock had it no Patterson curse in there. lol

Hey Taz did she look like this ?

SAM_0748.jpg

Hen is blue ringer.

2 nice cock birds there. Cinnamon light green and cinnamon opaline Green or grey green. Both a bit too old, black and green rings.

A handy looking Dom pied hen also, but had a large lump or cyst near its vent.

I buy my seed from the grower, $28 for a 25kg bag.

As a kid out bush I loved patersons curse, meant summer was almost here.

Hi Devil,

I hate those b#$st*^ds that don't fly. My flights are high and long and birds have to fly. I feed plenty of oats and I don't get fat birds - because they fly. The damn things have wings because they fly. Make 'em fly and keep 'em fit.

Pleased to know that the Melton birds are doing a good job for you.

Cheers

A very wise man gave me some excellent advise as a first year Novice, "Renee", he said, "do not spend more than $350 on a bird. Just because they are more expensive does not mean they will live and breed for you".wink.gif

And I never have.

But it still hurts when your purchases fall off the perch- I have had one not last the week .... another breed mostly deformed chicks ..... and another not breed at all .... or was an internal layer .... laugh.gif yes the list in endless.

Oh hmm well that's a tricky one, how about my Albino line, oh yes and Lutes didn't so too well and come to think of it neither did my Double Factor Spangles - White and Yellow nor did the Recessive Pieds either or my Normal Green line .... rolleyes.gif

In fact NONE of my top birds did the business for me this year AT ALL. wink.gif

ps it is a bit young to be developing a cyst don't you think?! wacko.gif
