My name is Amy and I'm from Kingaroy, QLD. I've been keeping birds on and off for basically my entire life but I have now made a business of keeping birds so the collection is ever growing. I have a number of pairs of parrots (Alex's, Ringnecks, Quakers, Galahs, Corella's, Lovebirds, cockatiels, 28's and the list goes on) and have had groups of budgies on and off but my other half Will has a terrible habbit of selling my budgies when I'm not at home. So to help my cause I got in contact with a local show budgie breeder who happens to be the President of the Caboolture Budgie Society and took Will along to have a looksee. Well... needless to say we came out with just a few budgies (40 to be exact... we never were good at starting off small...) and are now members of the society. I don't think we will get much of a chance to attend many meetings as they are held mid week and we are 2hrs away and still need to work the next day.... but hopefully we can get to some. Will has been banned from selling any of my show budgies and I look forward to the breeding season coming up!!! Other than that, we also hand raise parrots as Impulse Parrots which I just love and it keeps me rather busy... and as I like to keep myself busy, we are also in the process of developing a new pet supplies website - Impulse Pet Supplies. And then there are the Nanango markets once a month and full time work outside of that lol. But I always have time for my birds . So I am looking forward to participating in the forum and hope to learn lots and help out where I can! Cheers Amy Link to comment
