They said they couldn't believe it that bidding starting at $500. with lacewings, they said every top breeder in Vic was there buying so that says a lot. They bought a couple of lutinos but the one he wanted went for over a thousand. So it sounded like it was a top auction. Oh my friends had a great day out they said very enjoyable. I wished that I didn't have to work because I would of went to, but wouldn't of enough money to buy what I wanted. Obviously todays friends have a better "eye" for a budgie than yesterday's friends!!! Hence the complete turn around from "poor quality birds" to "birds were outstanding"................. LMAO Shows you should always use your own being there experience and your own eye and judgement and not rely on others. We all look for differing things based on what features we need to buy in to our flocks and we base it also on what we see in our own birds at home. You cant rely on someone else's say so in most cases. Link to comment

They said that there were that many people there and that had bought that the line to pick the birds up was huge. So maybe Kochy you can come over and buy from one one day too. That is true Splatt, there was a consortium from Tassie & they brought a line of good budgies,to take back to Tassie. It will interesting, to see the Tassie National Team next year,to see how they went with there breeding. If it's who I think it is, then he had very good budgies before, and can easily cover the cost by himself. Yes will be interesting to see what emerges. Taz, I heard there are 2 past breeders returning to the hobby up your neck of the woods. Will be good for the club up there with the extra members. Edited May 12, 2011 by Twisted Link to comment
