Hi all today was our club show, The Kyabram Diploma Show.

I had a great day.

I won best Adult cock in Intermediate with a DF spangle and best Adult hen in Intermediate with a double factor hen. (brother and sister) The cock went onto to win best Adult in Show and then he went onto to win Grand Champion in Show. I was totally blown away, couldn't believe it.

I won 3 show cages with the new fronts and perches and a few drinkers and mason jar feeders and jars plus my beautiful sashes.

I also won the raffle again, I won a wire flight cage with all the accessories.

Boy did I have a great day all totally unexpected.

I didn't do very well with my young birds but I new I wouldn't. I am hoping for next year with my young. I also have some interest in people wanting to buy some good birds and pay top dollar, so it is all happening.

I am on cloud nine at the moment.

Hi Macka, nice to see you here, Hey I am on 15 points already, just from 2 shows, so I only need 15 more points to go into open but i don't want them because I am not ready for open yet, it is very hard. I think I would like to stay in Intermediate for a year or 2, but I guess we will see what happens, I think I might retired that bird now. He has shined and I don't think he could do much better.

Sorry Gb didn't have time to take photos today but will try tomorrow. I thought I would let my boy have a days rest before annoying him again, he is such a gentleman.

I don't know about that Hilly, i think I have been just plain lucky, when Greg bought me some birds for my birthday a few years ago and the they just seemed to click with a hen I had here. That's where it all started to go right which was my second year of breeding.

I have to keep it up now, really hard.

This is his Adult bird in Intermediate, Sash and prize, the prize is 3 extra large drinkere

and a Jason jar feeder.

 

Then he won Best Adult bird in Show and he got this sash and 1 Show Cage

 

Then he went on to win Grand Champion Bird in Show and won 2 Show Cages and Sash

 

His sister won Op Sex Adult in Intermediate, this is her and her award. Not a good photo of her she

wouldn't relax.

The week before was the Riverina Diploma show

 

The Dom pied won Best Adult in Intermediate and his award was a show cage,

so I have won 4 show cages in 2 weeks. very cool. I have 23 now. lol

I have the wrong Ribbon on this Cage, it should be a yellow one, this one is the Kyabram one. Will take another photo tomorrow if I get time.

 

Cinnamon Dark Green hen Won Opp Sex in Intermediate and I only got a sash

 

And I won Best Young Pair In Show

i did win a sash and show cage and a bottle of wine for my albino hen who came best op sex beginner in our clubs diploma so that was cool as but your sashes are much much cooler than mine

and i won a fruit platter and a nut n cheese platter from the united for my reserve cock n reserve hen beginner

but

we didn't get anything for reserve at my clubs diploma not even a card just written on the cage sticker

 

 

i had to giggle at the bird bath in the flight cage hee hee you won

I noticed that some clubs like the Riverina only give ribbons for op sex once you get to Intermediate, beginners get a trophy for all.

Have never got anything for Reserve either, just a little blue or red round sticker saying reserve.

Hey last week I won the raffle at Riverina, it was groceries so I took them around to my son, him and his family were happy with them.

Funny I hardly ever win the raffle and I have won it 2 weeks in a row. cool.

 

The bird bath, lol I think Brad uses them for soft food. Good for veges though.
