It's really weird because when ever I move my foot he follows it and puffs himself up and snuggles against it. I am wondering if tehre is anyway to break this behaviour or if I just have to go with the flow and hope he grows out of it? Link to comment

My first budgie started to do this with me around his first mating season, to the extent of rubbing himself on my foot and "protecting" my toe with his wing. He went the whole masturbation thing to leaving a little "puddle". What you are describing sound very like the same thing to me. It only happened the one season but after I realised what he was on about, I discouraged him from doing it (made my toes unavailable) and he left it at that. What you do is up to you but from the sounds of things you and DAlek have definitely bonded!!!! :D Link to comment

LOL Got two pin feathers through and then nothing, so I'm rather worried about that. :/ I decided to wear socks around him when he was out and he got extremly grumpy and bit my leg then flew up on to the curtain rod where I couldn't get him. He is smarter then I thought. LOL I'm now just leaving socks off and saying no and moving my foot everytime he nibbles it or chatters to it, much to his hatred, but I soon distract him with his play gym or something else. Hopefully he'll grow out of it, and if not, well as long as he's happy I won't mind. LOL Link to comment

Like stace's did - watch out for your mobile!!! Bluey didn't try again after getting the message the first time, so good luck with Dalek. Link to comment

LOL Having to borrow Dad's work one at the moment cause mine broke, and I don't really know how I would explain that one. :/ Is it normal for them to start getting new feathers and then just suddenly stop? He got grumpy and two little white covered feathers came out, and then they just vanished and now he's back to being his normal cheeky self. Just with a slight more additiude. I'm worried something has gone wrong or that. Link to comment

His second moult was a bigger one. From time to time they just lose a few feathers, but it's not really a fully fledged moult. Link to comment
