Both were bought from the Pet Shop so I don't know their backgrounds here is a photo of the hen... and the cock... Both are over a year old now, but the pictures are of when they were much younger I am happily anticipating the arrival of the first hatchling in a couple of days but I'd love to hear what they may look like! So sorry I'm not very good at all this gene stuff! thats okay were here to learn all of us :} a recessive gene is a hide gene a none visual genetic that the bird holds but unless the other partner also holds this gene it will possibly go un noticed for months even years it is still possibly passed on to the off spring so that their is a chance that you will get some chicks with the gene even if you are not aware its their as its not visual this is then referred to as a split sex linked is another thing altogether :} hope that made bit of sence Edited January 24, 2011 by **KAZ** Link to comment
