Well, it looks to me like you have some nice size and length and you need more width and blow in the head and more shoulder - that's how I see it anyway. From what I understand (in my 3 years experience lol) size is the hardest thing to get and putting heads on isnt so hard lol.

They look lovely :D

Dont be in too much of a hurry to blame a cock for infertile eggs. Some hens think they can go to nest and lay eggs without budgie bonking. Half the time its the hens at fault.

Im only new to this Kaz but does that mean they will be cinnamon opaline? Sorry bare with me!haha

Yes if dad is cinnamon which he does look, all hens will be cinnamon and cocks will be split cinnamon, the mum is opaline right so if dad is split for opaline you may get some opaline cocks too, but you will cinnamon oplaine and cinnamon hens.

Pairings Expectations

Cinnamon cock × Cinnamon hen... 100% Cinnamon.

Cinnamon cock × Normal hen... Normal/split Cinnamon cocks Cinnamon hens.

Normal/split Cinnamon cock × Cinnamon... hen Cinnamon cocks

Normal/split Cinnamon cocks Cinnamon hens Normal hens

Normal/split Cinnamon cock × Normal hen... Normal/split Cinnamon cocks

Normal cocks Cinnamon hens Normal hens

Normal cock × Cinnamon hen... Normal/split Cinnamon cocks Normal hens

Normal cock × Normal hen... Normal cocks Normal hens

The same goes for opaline as it is sex linked

Thanks splat! Well the cock has a opal violet father and a dom pied sky mother.(normal cinnamon line) and the hen has a grey/green cinnamon father and a spangle opal grey green mother (normal line)

So does that make it opaline?

His father makes him split opaline.

Thanks Kaz! I have read these types are pretty common? Are they the type of bird that is more frustrating than anything? As in cross breeds?
