Hi all, it has been a few weeks since being on here. Need help with ageing my friends Budgie. If any one has any idea that would be great. The picture not real good

Hi Judy. The picture is WAY to small. We are allowed pictures of the size 480 by 640 on here. It will help if you post better pictures.

 

Also aging him would be hard as he seems to be recessive pied.....hence no iris rings to go off.

How are you expecting anyone to AGE this bird ? If its a recessive pied hen we can never see any iris rings to assist in aging the bird. If its not recessive pied then we need to see clear eye photos.

A coloured cere comes and goes as breeding condition comes and goes so can be any age.

How long have they had the bird and did they buy it as a baby ? :(

I'm not sure, but it looks like she might have scaley face.

I am sorry, a budgie novice here. My friend was given this bird a few months ago & no history was known. She is very worried about the other comment about scaly face. We have never heard of this. :rofl:

Scalyface require either spot on ivermectin ( one spot on back of neck under the feathers ) or oil applied to the beak. No biggie really :rofl:

 

We need other photos of the bird..........side and back photos. Close up eye photos.

 

Is the request for age because of possible breeding ?
