I started out covering the cage, as I thought this would make them feel more secure, but part of it slipped off, and were way more vocal (to the point where I almost wanted to cover them up again!), so figured they were happy with the sun shining through the car window. Admittedly mine is just a 2 hour trip, but I do it several times a year. Robyn Link to comment
