I've seen heaps of people with colourful rope perches and would really like to get one.

What is a good website for the perch and other bits and bobs.

I would not buy a rope perch. My budgies shred them and the loose threads are a danger if they are swallowed.

I would get a small piece of gum tree branch, two small hooks and two short pieces of chain from a hardware and make one for about $2.

I have multiple rope perches/swings in my avairy and havn't had a problem. I just cut the tassle off short (if they have one) and check them often for wear and tear. Some budgies do shred them, so you'd have to watch them carefully when you put it in their cage. Homemade stuff out of natual branches are great too though :question:
