May 8, 201014 yr Author congratulations houman! i hope you and tammy have many fun times together for years and years to come! tammy. and well done to GB you should be proud of yourself for taming such a good little budgie. i commend you on your efforts ! from alpaca-boy thank you tammy is the 9th baby i have tamed with very proud new mummys and daddys i enjoy putting so much into the birds so my clients get so much out of them the only diffrents is now that i relized that its best to start the tamming from in the nest to tell the client that colour really isnt a part of it as i chose a bird from its personality from young so their for dont know what colour it will be however i do try and pair up birds that will give me the varierty out come and nearest or exact colour wanted i also only tame birds through a order system so that if you want a bird like tammy or georgio you have to be willing to do the whole life cycle from pairing to egg from chick to out i also make birth certificates for thoughs whom want one as a added novelty or adoption papers these are laminated or framed for a cost of 10.00 and posted out to you at with in a few weeks my birds also dont cost an arm and a leg for the so called effort put in its a labbor of love not a job and this is why my birds are so much more a companion than most tame birds if i find a bird is not responding i simply find another who does the beautiful thing of freedom of speach on the budgies be half you know from young before feathered if a bird is exepting of wanting to be tamed and working on the personality of the person and then my gut instinct on the right temperament of the chick i choose to work with is all apart of the tameing process it is a lot of time and a lot of hours put into each birds traning not just bit here and their the birds come with me everywhere till they are at the age where they are starting to get inquizitive in which is when i introduce a cage and i make sure the person tells me their routine so as i can work the bird to it its not just oh i want that pritty one if you want a certain colour and typpe id do my best as i said but i dont guarantee colour i guarantee a tamed budgie a friend for life nothing less nothing more so their a bit of my secret
May 8, 201014 yr Well done! GB, why don't you get yourself a tame bub? You could go into a great business, taking down the local pet store. Houman, does Tammy sleep in your bed?
May 8, 201014 yr Well done! GB, why don't you get yourself a tame bub? You could go into a great business, taking down the local pet store. Houman, does Tammy sleep in your bed? I tame birds for people myself, and I absolutely agree with GB that its the personality that shows who can be tamed so sometimes you cant give people a certain colour because not all babies respond to taming the same. The other thing is, every time I try to tame one myself, I "happen" to get a request for the VERY colour or type of bird I am taming for myself. This has happened every time I tried to tame one for myself, and guess what. It just happened again today with the YF visual violet I was secretly taming for myself lol.
May 9, 201014 yr You could go into a great business, taking down the local pet store. Pet stores dont pay the price for these birds that they are worth. They mark the price up up and make the profit off you and you never get to see the homes or people they go to. Why give the business to a pet store when you can do it all yourself ?

They mark the price up up and make the profit off you and you never get to see the homes or people they go to. Why give the business to a pet store when you can do it all yourself ? besides i dont want my birds to cost familys a heap all my tamed birds are pretty much same price as my untame birds i started breding birds to give the people some where else to purchus beautiful healthy birds at the price the pet shop gives me for breeding or for pets sometimes my price verys frome 10 to 20 dollors 30 if something very special and rarly seen but still thats cheep as and if you by certain amout after that all birds are 10.00 from their on in this was never about the money the money all goes back to the birds every cent so sometimes people give me what they think is fair for what they are getting and im very thank ful as i do tend to cut myself short to provide happy healthy birds and in doing this dont always make enough to cover their costs but i look at it like this if i didnt breed them i wouldnt need to feed them so sell them or not even if i didnt breed id be paying out of my own pocket to feed so any extra is a bonus besides im very chossy who gets my birds and will keep rather than sell if i dont like the persons attitude if i have to i can give them away if i get to many usually to people who want more but cant aford themthat way i know they got good home my show stock will as it gets better be 30 to fifty per bird depending on its background and its genetics colour so on and anybirds not show quality or show stock worthy will be sold as pet types regardless of their background why would i want to tame birds as a job when im wanting to work on a stud of quality show stock this is going to take up all my time so im finding i may just go back to pets yet and just keep my very best 12 show birds and slowly start again from their its something i been thinking over

May 10, 201014 yr It's quite difficult to take photos of him as he'll jump onto the camera. He love shiny gadgets and cordless phones. He was under the weather on Saturday, sneezes and lost some weight but seems fine yesterday after a good feed and sleep, I try to make sure he eats as often as possible because he is so energetic. He is also learning to headbob and regurgitate seeds since two weeks ago, a little clumsy still. He also uses his feet more to hang on to his things (like me for eg.) I call him monkey these days (behind his back). His favourite place is the dinning table and my keyboard. Still with his baby feathers. These are taken yesterday noon. Video of him using his feet to grab hold of things. Video of headscratch two weeks ago. Edited May 10, 201014 yr by flycow
May 10, 201014 yr thats what the newspapers for gb . she likes her carrot well she will eat it unlike her grapes or apple. i think this is a new breed its got orange feathers all around its beak area or is that from the carrot , georgio is so cute. im gunna make a new topic for tammys tamming even though shes already pretty tame. ohh and i might give her nails the smallest clip. her nails get stuck on everything my tshirt*made of cotton* bedsheet any form of material well exept my leather chair, so im guessing there just really sharp because they do stab into a little bit unless anyones got any suggestions .
