Making A Baby Budgie Friend For Houman

Nice cage. Dude was picked up by his owner yesterday and that was what they used as a carrier cage. Actually, I think it was bigger. I told them about his diet, quarantine and all of that. I'm happy though as they have a massive cage apparently and they had cockatiels and budgies until somebody let them out. Has he started flying yet?

hes happy on his rope swing which i think is what was wanted

i left him unatended while i did the other birds and when i came back he was on my pillow :laughter: sleeping

hes sky blue df violet

he is visually violet to look at but he is not a sf cobalt violet and he has the aqua tail and wings

so must be df sky violet given both mum and dad are both no dark

GB, can I ask what you do with the baby during the 10 minutes he spends with you? You mentioned he was in your pocket at one point. Do you put them in your pocket and go about your usual business, or do you spend the 10 minutes actively playing with them?

 

And then at what age do you keep them out with you for longer periods? The reason I ask is because I'm having no luck hand taming my babies. While they're still in the nest, I handle them a lot, and they are fine with that, but as soon as they fledge, I'm looked on as a horrible monster, and they panic and fly away.

well

as i sit here eatting left over Persian for tea

my room feels quiet cold and empty

although i can hear chattering babys from in the next room

my house is empty from one very special gal

the day was really nice

mum is a great cook

and i wish i could make my rice last every day lol

 

i was gifted with a box of chocys from houman

thanks darl

 

we had lunch then headed down to the pet shop to pick up the cage (and some toys )

then to the warehouse for some other bits and peaces

 

when we had done that i helped houman set his cage out

i know tammy is going to be so loved and well looked after

houman brought everything him self bar just a few things that com with the bird

one thing we did forget though through the exitment of it all was to ivomect her

 

but as i did it at three weeks in the nest im sure she will be fine

i have some pics but would like permition first to post

 

and i will definitely wright a bit on how i tame my bubs but i can not give all my secrets away or i wont be the best bird tamer around town

 

okay im off to feed some babys that got tossed out nest to early mabe i will need to just replace her
