Making A Baby Budgie Friend For Houman

hello everyone

our sight member houman was wanting a baby budgie ---tame

so i did my best to try tame a bird my friend had from her last pet type clutch for him but failed very badley

she was very nasty and never been handled in nest

so i

asked houman would he like to wait and i could breed him a baby from start to finish and we would gain a way better rezult

so as he waits

the fun has began

 

the first chick has hatched today feed and healthy

29th march at 630am this morning dark eyed pinky

pics not to good as cloudy out

 

 

 

 

mum a cinnamon opaline light green

dad a skyviolet dom pied normal

 

 

 

 

 

so the tameing of a friend for life begins

incase this clutch doesnt work out as you can never be to sure of these things i have ten pair on eggs all due to hatch this month of april

well the hen is

split to blue

 

and of no dark factor

 

the father is skyblue with a single factor of the modifying gene violet

so by rights we shall get

skyblues skyviolets and m my brains out of genetic colour code as i been just breeding to get good birds none colour related so this to will help me houman i dont think you can actually get a visual violet from this pairing as no dark factor in either mum or dad

ohh okay then i have no idea about budgie genetics and all. will they all be sky blue or will there be cobalt and is it mauve? as well.

i just thought everyone can see how i tame my babys from small to be very lovable friends also how booking a baby to order also can be of benifit you if you can find a breeder willing to do this for you

 

i know of a few around

me being one of them but patiance is needed

 

 

houman i belive i can only breed birds with no dark factor so no mauve or cobalt the pair i put up last week the pet pairing they would produce mauve ,violet,cobalt chicks as both have a medium factor and one bird being visually violet could produce a violet the mauve hen gives a better chance of this

 

 

sorry i lie

that pair one is medium one is a dark factor (the mauve hen ) see i so need a genetics refresh on colours

 

 

ps cheaked chick before night fall still doing strong mum doing great job as is dad just think in one sleep he will have a little brother or sister pinky to help him keep warm (ps its mabe not a him but who cares right now not me )

yes update last check before bed and

drum roll

brrrrrrr br br br br rrrrrrrrrr

two pinkys to keep the litle one warm all fed and well

so then there were three

three chicks yea :bliss: :yes: :grouphug:

 

 

only one of them is a very special bird whom was fosted as a day old egg so mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i best be careful

dont want to give away my next bench winner lol :laughter: should i say first :rofl:

okay this morning the nest cheak found at a closser inspection that

all chicks have dark eyes

 

im not sure if dads split to anything as i have never breed him before

so its all a bit exiting forme also

their all very healthy and fed well

i will get some pics but my cam has really flat batterys and im waiting for it to sit a while then im going to go out turn it on take a really fast snap with the last ounce of power it has left lol

i cant get new batterys till thursday so

i hope i snap one quick shot

i tryed this morn but i was not quick enough it shut off before i snapped

i will open nest first next try

okay i got some snaps i got one off a addled egg also where you can see the dead embrio inside the shell diffrent clutch just so people can see the diffrents i took one of a feirtile one just starting to vain up but it did not work to well as the camra shut down so i will do that again tomorrow night but got pics of chicks so photo buckett uploading them now

okay cool.

okay here are the pics as promised and now the dead in shellit died at about one week of embrio egzistance its just a dark mark with out the light and the whole egg is clear

their only a few days old give them a few weeks lol

 

 

and um :baby: tonight so now theirs :dbb1:

it was to late to disturb with cam tonight as i got home at 10pm but first thing in morning i will take pics and post them dueing day sometime

i will aim to post them before 700pm okay mate so you can cheak it out

the oldest is 4 days and eyes should strat to open in day or to i will take picture of it in my hand tomorrow so you can see
