They were described previously as, "looks like you doubled up on long feather gene". Well I've read a bit about "is this a mop". also Show birds, general discussion, "what do you think of the tail less wonder's." I'm trying to decide which side of the coin these fall? Pics. as follows. This is the only hen of the clutch. This is back view of sorts of 2,3,&4. The last pics are the boys! note tails? Some "off line" to body as described about mops I think. They did have some tail feathers before they moulted this is what they have now. Hen seems fine. No 4 cock is very messy feather wise, can't fly much rest do o.k. I'd like to know if they are just affected by "long feather gene" or is it something else before I decide to breed any of them. Mum was Cinnamon light green . Dad is Olive cinnamon. Can anyone sayl what differences are, e.g. mops or tail less wonders. Looked up pics on french moult. They don't seem to fit in there. Any advice gratefully received. P.S no 3 has loudest call in aviary also. Link to comment

But paired correctly to say the first hen bird in the top picture and you can correct the flight issues , dont always take everyones opinion as gospel , Remember that all birds have faults , you must try not to pair two faults together . Nice birds. Link to comment

When I posted them before as chicks the consensus was I doubled up on long flight etc. I don't show, although the parents were both from a show breeders cull. Both Cinnamon, lt.g/ Olive. both nice looking birds. I have since read about mops etc. thought they may fall into another problem. (pictured chicks i mean). So if I decide to breed them I'll breed to smaller feather birds, also I won't breed original parents together again. Hoping this is the correct way to go. long flights very undesirable in show birdsOn the show bench yes . Have you bred those good winged chicks yet? To see they haven't passed on the long flight gene or whatever? Link to comment
