Hint... 007... wack some perches in it so the birds can go in there... pleeeease Well I had a spare couple of minutes today, to wack up Liv's perches. I used the Kaz ™ collapsible hinged version so that it makes it easy to clean underneath them by unlatching the sides so that it goes flat against the back wall. I think there is enough for the tribe of WA birds to come and stay (including the little urchin that we could mind for Dave McMinn) Interesting, had a chat with a breeder today who was very interested in the birds - his opinion was that there's a LOT of good bloodlines over there... I think he's right by the pictures of the birds I've seen. He was more than a little impressed when I mentioned whose birds we have. I'd post pictures of my collapsible, latched bird perch device, but they are only phone photos and not that good, so you can see it complete with birds sitting on it next week sometime. Note to everyone: Remember to look at the perches too next week, not just the birds. And Yes, I did paint it - a lovely cream colour ( tin cost me $24 ) but I failed there didn't I. Damn it! Should have left it unpainted, but on one hand it does look nice. Waiting for photos..............next week is too far away Perhaps today then, I'm getting my photographer back, not that I am excited (much ). Last night I got another order from Liv for the other flight to get a new Kaz ™ collapsible hinged version, but this one without paint, so I know what I am doing on Friday afternoon. Link to comment

I'd have to say The two Gina House birds aka House, Greg... The big Cec Gearing boy, The Gary Armstrong Lacewing who is grandfather to some of ours born this year - but really they are all better in directional feather / size than most of ours. That they are almost all related from such a tight breeding area is a huge advantage in a lot of ways - they are almost a line / family in their own right. I think it will be good to get some Lacewings and Recessive Pieds, although we bred two together a few months back and got all normals, but they were nice. The new ones have settled in but it was hot and then it was too dark - should be better tomorrow. And then we'll have to name a few more, and I've got to put a small veranda on the flight, and a jacuzzi for when they get too tired to fly and need to wind down Edited December 15, 2009 by JamesBond007 Link to comment

I am watching them very closely 007's Kaz™ perches are fantastic. I have asked he add another three perches to it as there is stacks of space Edited December 15, 2009 by **Liv** Link to comment

I took lots of photos of them, but so few actually turned out. Here is one type. The Bell tower At the Perth Mint The wild flowers and general foliage. Everything is so arid and sandy, and yet so lush the sky on the day i flew home. there were fires around and the sun was merely an eerie glow in the sky Some shots out of the airplane window more coming  Perth in all its glory! This thing is H-U-G-E and looks like a snow flake at night! so pretty dead tree at sunset banksia flower. we dont have these at home The main wild flower colour seems to be yellow  Karen and I had loads of fun getting cemetery photos on the way home from a drive in the hills. I have never been in a cemetery at night. it was deathly quiet and no one complained of our late night visit hehe  Edited January 5, 2010 by **Liv** Link to comment
