Hey guys.

Super information. Did not know this about the protein. May give this a go....

Moving away from the blood picks rolleyes.gif and and back to the PG13 Whey powder, does anyone have some dose rates or amounts they use for their birds and how they administer it ? I don't do soft food, but mixing with veggies ?

Thanks,

Stew

I hang suet [not sure of spelling] the fat from around the kidney of a sheep, in my avairy it has the added advantage of helping stop scally face, The birds love it! cheers Clearwing

i was wondering clearwing

do you give this suet to birds uncooked or cooked is it solid form or jelly like ?

If you cooked it,It would just melt down into Fat.

sorry macka didnt see you their

okay so its a solid

can you tell me how long its okay to be left hanging before it is termed no good

as in off can birds get sick from it if left for over certain time frame i guess im asking

I was told overdosing with protein is extremely harmful. There are articles on it but I dont have them to hand. Worth investigating as protein levels would be hard to assess I would imagine. Most of us would be operating off trial and error I suspect and perhaps could be endangering the health of our birds if we dont have the correct knowledge at hand.
