Did you get her off Hans?No, she is a Cec bred hen.Just out of interest, what is the maximum babies one might expect?..Depends on how good a mother is with her eggs, and if they are all fertile, by the time the earlier chicks hatch they can foul the other eggs, so you try and foster out some eggs in larger clutches. I really hope you get something nice :fingerscrossed: Will candle later........hen has only just begun to sit....and candling torch needs batteries **UPDATE** Candled eggs with another torch ( not as good ) and two showing fertile so far. I suppose it goes on to support the theory we discussed ages ago when others in Sydney were going on a buying spree seeking to buy the best birds - great birds do not always make great parents.
