Just thought I'd let you know that my skyblue rec pied spangle hen with her gf2 cobalt cock are currently sitting on 2 eggs, with the next one due tomorrow!

 

Can anyone tell me what babies I should expect from this pairing?

A sky rec pied spangle hen paired to a gf cobalt cock will give you

 

All birds will be blue birds that are split to recessive pied. %0% would be spangles. Half will be sky, half will be cobalt

 

12.5% sky blue spangle split to recessive pied

12.5% cobalt blue spangle split to recessive pied

12.5% gf sky blue spangle split to recessive pied

12.5% gf cobalt blue spangle split to recessive pied

12.5% sky blue normal split to recessive pied

12.5% cobalt blue normal split to recessive pied

12.5% gf sky blue normal split to receeive pied

12.5% gf cobalt blue normal split to receeive pied

 

This is all done off the top of my head. I might be wrong. Please anybody who disagrees, let me know how I am wrong.

Update long overdue! Mum stopped at 4 eggs and baby #1 hatched today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very healthy little bubba, been fed several times and mum sitting on keeping warm. Next chick due on Sunday.

3 chicks now with the next and last one due today =) So a clutch of 4 chicks, if this one hatches All doing really well, oldest 2 starting to loose baby fluff and ready for pin feathers

I am really pleased with the result of this clutch, went and checked the babies yesterday afternoon, and Mum has fed them all soooo well their crops looked like they were about to burst! Baby #4 hatched yesterday also, right on time. Sadly, that one didn't make it. I think the others squashed it, they are soooo big now, and I don't think mum knew it was there becuase the others are so big and loud. RIP baby #4. :rip:

 

But...... the biggest and oldest baby has her eyes open now, and is about to get pin feathers very soon. :dbb1: The 2nd biggest and oldest baby has her eyes open too. The 3rd baby is about to open her eyes. :grbud:

 

:offtopic: One of my cockatiels has 3 eggs, and another one laid one on Friday!! The pair with 3 eggs is a grey normal cock with a pearl hen. The pair that has 1 egg so far is a GORGEOUS pearl pied cock, with a ????? hen!

Here's some new photos! Just for easy telling apart, I will call the oldest one Prickles, the 2nd youngest Punk and the youngest one Tips. Prickles is 3 weeks old today, the others are 2 days and 4 days younger. Punk might keep his/her name, but the others will be changed. Just on the moment names for identification. I rung them all today, very proud I did a good job didn't pinch them or anything. :ohmygod:
