I bought a new mousetrap yesterday.......it catches them alive for those that care to release them elsewhere. I dont, but I still like the idea of how the mousetrap works. It catches multiple mice all night long and keeps them inside until you empty it, dispose of them or whatever. Clearish lid so you can see if you have caught a mouse or not.

Works great............first night have mousies.

you place it along a wall....no bait needed.......there is a little ramp they walk up and when the balance shifts weightwise it tips them into the inner area where they can freely walk around, but not get back out. the trap is then ready to catch the next mouse that comes along.

Here it is ( most likely only available in AUSTRALIA ? Cost $24.95 at Bunnings. Others I have seen at bird supply stores cost twice that much.

Look's like an Air Conditioner at first glimpse :rip: :D ...We have Bunnings here in belmont, might go ask them.... i am yet to have any mice problem's... i always put some sunflower seed where i suspect... and non of which have been cracked.... as for the old place the shed had them and whenever i came out in the morning's their was cracked sunflower shell's on the ground in the shed....

But likewise it seems to do the job, and for $25 you cant go wrong .....

Whoever say's cheese works for trap's... i can tell you that's a MYTH!

I have some baby mice getting around in the birdroom since we are doing the renovations/new flights..... they are getting in under the gaps at the end where the double doors are.

Not bad... I'm still sticking with my Regent Parrot's though... and seeing they are related to princess and superb's. i hopefully get similar result's... i'd rather them quiet down and settle in for a good 2 month's first though.

I'll be sure to ring bunning's about that trap tomorrow :P

No....its a tunnel on each side and too small for budgies. By rights no budgies should be flying around my birdroom :P

With the wet weather and the heat, there is a lot of fast growing food and it is a good time for an explosion of mice. I thought I would bump this thread up as it is a good one.... and also because in the last 3 weeks, it has caught 3 mice.

I just put it outside about an hour ago, and it has already done it's job.

Great mouse trap, and best of all, it could be used in the aviary, safely.

I only knew there was a mouse in there as one of my dogs had dragged the trap 2 metres across the concrete and he was trying to work out how to get it open, so he could kill the mouse that is in there.

1 more dead mouse!!!

Another mouse caught in the trap today. I am very lucky as I have an "alarm" that goes off when a mouse is caught in the trap. Two alarms actually. See if you can spot them in the pics below.

The mousetrap

The inspection by my "alarms"

All clear is sounded and my "alarms" move onto to inspect another site

These are great traps. Only bad if you are squeamish about killing the mice afterward. I drown them then bin them. Simple as can be.

What a brilliant trap! Is it big enough to trap rats too, or just mice?

Will have to check out Bunnings when I'm over that way next. Ta :D

I am even more impressed with this mouse trap after today. It caught the mother mouse and she was killed and binned.

How do I know it was the mother mouse? Well, she looked very pregnant for the first thing, but that guarantees nothing. The real big bit of info is the fact that she must have been rushing home and got caught, as she had actually given birth to a baby mouse in there. It had died and she was trapped.

I am so impressed with these mouse traps. The most effective ones I have ever seen.

I will buy more and strategically place them around my aviaries and house.

I found a mouse in the house today... So my wife has refused to go into the study until the animal is destroyed, so I'm not sure she'll be a fan of this trap but I might suggest it. Looks good.

I caught 2 mice today but one was only caught by his leg and when I tried to grab the trap and I was scared he got off and ran away, little sucker!!!.
